Hey! I’m Kate. I’m a mumma of 2 boys, a Certified Infant & Child Sleep Consultant and the founder of Baby Sleep Rhythm.
As a first-time mum, I experienced the challenges of feeling lost and overwhelmed with confusing and misleading information about raising my little one. From the numerous ways to swaddle my baby to the challenges of feeding and sleep, it was quite the rollercoaster ride. But you know what? It was through this journey that I discovered my passion for the science behind sleep.
When my second son came into this world, I embraced the opportunity to trust the process and witness the incredible benefits of introducing healthy sleep habits from an early age. This personal journey ignited a spark to become qualified, enabling me to share my knowledge and empower others, like you, to get a better night’s sleep.
“My baby is just a bad sleeper.” – sound familiar? I’ve heard it countless times, but trusting evidence-based methods and discovering your baby’s sleep potential can be a real game-changer! Everyone needs sleep in order to thrive. It’s a fundamental human need, yet the optimal amount varies depending on a range of factors.
The name ‘Baby Sleep Rhythm’ was born from the idea that everything stems from your baby’s circadian rhythm. Understanding that sleep patterns are set by a 24 hour body clock, which is influenced by light, food & movement is key to unlocking better sleep. Sleep is also impacted by many other factors such as age, temperament, environment & nutrition.
There’s no one size fits all solution. As a Certified Infant & Child Sleep Consultant, I take a holistic approach, looking at everything that’s going on for your family and then educate you on our EAT. PLAY. LOVE. SLEEP. plans, which are customised to suit your individual needs.
“Love?” you may ask. Yes, you can have a baby that sleeps and still bond and form a strong attachment with them, before and after they sleep and your relationship will be even more magical with more energy and compassion. By setting healthy sleep foundations early in life, we improve your child’s cognitive development and benefit the entire family’s physical, mental health and well-being.
